We all have the freedom of will
to ask God for help to do His will.

“The POSITIVE THINKER

sees the INVISIBLE,

feels the INTANGIBLE,

and achieves the IMPOSSIBLE.”

From Radio 4’s today programme a quote by Sir Winston Churchill from his book “My Early Life”

I know a person in Christ who fourteen years ago was
caught up to the third heaven - whether in the body or out
of the body I do not know; God knows. And I know that
such a person - whether in the body or out of the body I
do not know; God knows - was caught up into Paradise
and heard things that are not to be told, that no mortal is
permitted to repeat.

2 Corinthians 12. 2-4

Carols sound over tannoy systems in shops,

children excitedly open their Advent calendars,

candles are lit on the Advent wreath

and parents with loving eyes watch their children retelling of the Christmas story in their school Nativity play:

The thought comes to me
“Advent makes the heart grow fonder”.

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.
Some of the darkness in our world is the shadow cast by those upon whom Christ’s light shines but goes no further.
That darkness is removed when we become lit by the glory of Christ’s love in us, as then we shine as His light to the world.
